This kit is designed as an inexpensive kit to teach you to tan skins. The kit will tan light animal or reptile skins into quality furs or leather. Complete easy-to-follow instructions are included along with enough formula to tan 15 lbs. of wet skins.

Rittel’s EZ 2000 Tanning Kit 

An all-around kit for tanning
all skins. It produces white
full leather that’s soft and stretchy. It’s an excellent choice for the taxidermist or home tanner. Whether it's trophy skins, doing rug work, taxidermy capes and skins or sewing garments, this produces an excellent skin! Each kit contains: 10oz. of EZ 100, 8 oz. of Saftee-Acid, 1 pint of ProPlus Tanning Oil and a complete set of Rittel’s Tanning instructions.

Hide Tanning Formula

Pre-mixed and ready to use. This liquid
formula is per fact for deer hide tanning.
Will tan hair-on to make a deerskin rug
or mount, or hair-off to make buckskin leather. Tans all fir skins-rabbit, raccoon, fox, coyote, bear, beaver, squirrel and etc. Also sheep, cowhide, elk, moose, even snakeskin! Very easy to use and produces a soft, supple, Indian style tan in 4-5 days.

Dakota Snake Tanning Kit

Pro Leather Lube:   Prevents leather from drying stiff and allows breaking with a tanning knife to soften leather. Skins treated this way can't be later damaged with water. No other leather dressing or preservatives need to be applied.

De-Hairing Compound :  For de-hairing of any hides, regardless of the tan you wish to use. Superior to a straight lime bath, in that it prevents swelling and spoilage of hides while they are de-hairing.

Krome Tan:   NO doubt the most effective leather making process ever offered to the non-professional tanners. Many home tanners have found it easier to use with their home type of equipment. Leaves the hide in strong, soft, pliable state.

Tanol (Aluminum Sulphate):  Used in tanning all kinds of light furs and hides with the hair on or off. Superior to alum, and acid or other old-fashioned methods of tanning on that it is less expensive and produces a finer, more pliable leather on the flesh side.

Alum Ammonium (Powdered):  Is one of the oldest methods of tanning furs and hides. Leaves hides and leather a snowy white color when finished but is very difficult to break and soften.

Bark Tan:   A light brown powdered extract that produces nice soft leather. A vegetable-tanning agent not recommended for tanning whites or light colors. Also an excellent dye for dyeing hides a light or dark brown or buckskin color.

Borax-Plus:  Comes in powder form and is most effective as a preservative and used as an acid neutralizer after pickling tanning bath.

DRW Solution:    An excellent relaxer for dried skins, for washing fur, hair or wool free from dirt, grime and lanolin. No degreaser can compare to its results of removing stubborn grease.
